ISO Resin
Isophthalic Unsaturated Polyester Resin
Product Overview
ISO Resin, also known as Isophthalic Unsaturated Polyester Resin, is a premium-grade resin designed for high-performance composite applications. Compared to standard GP resins, ISO resin offers superior mechanical strength, excellent thermal stability, and outstanding chemical resistance.
It is widely used in industries that demand durability, corrosion resistance, and long-term performance, such as marine, automotive, construction, and chemical equipment manufacturing. ISO resin is compatible with fiberglass reinforcements, fillers, and pigments, and can be processed through hand lay-up, spray-up, filament winding, pultrusion, and casting.
Key Features
- High mechanical strength and impact resistance
- Excellent heat and thermal resistance
- Superior chemical and corrosion resistance (better than GP resin)
- Low shrinkage and smooth surface finish
- Good adhesion to fiberglass and fillers
- Long service life in harsh environments
- Ideal for structural and protective FRP applications
